Welcome to Partner Portal, an up-to-date secure website used to assist landlords participating in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV).

In an effort to incent Landlords to participate in MaineHousing's Housing Choice Voucher ("HCV") program, MaineHousing will pay landlords a $750 Signing Bonus for every unit newly leased to a MaineHousing HCV participant.

Criteria for the Program are as follows:

    * Rental rates are affordable within the HCV program guidelines

    * The rental unit passes a Housing Quality Standards Inspection

    * Landlords enter into a one-year lease with a new tenant and sign a contract with MaineHousing before funding is exhausted

    * Landlords must not have any open housing discrimination claims

    * Landlords receive $750 at or around the time of the first monthly payment

    * Project Based Voucher (PBV) Units are not eligible

Are you looking for a way to fill your vacant unit(s) with potential Section 8 tenants? Email your name and contact information to Melissa Ruggiero, Housing Navigator at mruggiero@mainehousing.org.

Please include the address, bedroom size, rental amount and utility structure of the vacant unit. Melissa will then be able to refer voucher holders who are searching for housing in your area to you.

The information regarding payment to landlords on behalf of tenant rent subsidy reflects activity that MaineHousing's computer system has generated. Please contact your bank to verify the deposit into your account.
