MaineHousing will be closed for the Holiday on Thursday January 1, 2026, & Friday January 2, 2026, and will resume operations at 8am on Monday January 5, 2026.

 January HAP payments will be released at the end of the business day on Monday, January 5th, meaning direct deposits and checks will be later then normal in getting to Landlord and tenants.   Direct deposits should be deposited between the 6th and the 8th depending on your banking institution.  Checks via the mail services could be up to a week. 

A reminder that payments are always made on the first working business day of the month, and not on the first day of the month.

Please include the address, bedroom size, rental amount and utility structure of the vacant unit. Melissa will then be able to refer voucher holders who are searching for housing in your area to you.
